After receiving several verbal confirmations, we were unable to secure a written permit from the local Municipality in Polkovnik Serafimovo. The festival, scheduled for June 6th to 10th, coincided with  the EU Representative elections and the subsequent Bulgarian Parlamentary elections. The Local Municipality decided to prohibit mass gatherings and the sale of alcohol during the election period, specifically from June 7th to 9th. 

In the weeks and months following the postponement announcement of the 2024 edition, the majority of the Meadows team disbanded and left the organisation, until only two people remained to deal with the aftermath. We communicated up until we ran out of funds for reimbursements and reached a point where we were unsure of what to say - as we really didn’t know what will happen. We then spent the remainder of the summer looking for ways to save the festival and exploring all possible alternatives. When we found people and partners who are willing to take on this massive challenge with us, we began to prepare our comeback and communication plan. We didn’t go quite out of a lack of care, we went quiet because we were looking for solutions. 

The date for the next Meadows in the Mountains are set for the 14th - 18th of August, 2025. We’ve moved the festival from its original time at the beginning of June to mid August so we can benefit from more sunshine and less rain. We also need the extra time as we have missed the initial months of ticket sales while we have been restructuring the business and working with our partners on building a solid strategy for 2025. 

For those who have already purchased tickets, we assure you that they will be rolled over to the 2025 edition automatically. You will receive an email with your new booking once we have completed the roll-over.  

All booking containing at least one MITM2024 ticket will receive a 50% discount for 1 ticket for 2025. In addition you will be part of helping us save Meadows and build a sustainable festival and community for years to come. 

The 2025 edition will feature improvements, and with that, new tickets will be priced 15-20% higher than in previous years but your rolled-over ticket is locked in at its original price, offering incredible value.

There is nothing you need to do on your end. Once tickets go on sale we will roll over all 2024 tickets on our system and you will receive an email with your new booking.  

Only 2024 bookings containing at least one MITM2024 Ticket are eligible for the 50% discount. If you choose to rollover your ticket, you don’t need to do anything. Details on how to claim your  discount will be advised nearer the time.

Please note that you will not receive a 50% discount for each Ticket in your 2024 booking. Each overall booking is eligible to receive one 50% discount on a 2025 ticket. 

All extras and purchases will automatically roll over to the 2025 edition. This includes limited edition merch.

All lead bookers have been sent a number of emails over the summer. Once the tickets have been rolled over and you have received your new booking number, but you are not able to attend and wish to continue with a refund, please contact us on info@meadowsinthemountains.com. 

Please email us after you have received your new booking as this will help us respond to you faster. 

Partial refunds are not available. 

All payment plans have been stopped. When tickets are rolled over, we will communicate only with the people who were on active payment plans at the time of the postponement via a separate email.
